CURATORIAL SERVICE

The curatorial service is responsible for the collections under the care of North Lanarkshire Council's museum service. The collection consists mostly of 19th / 20th century social and industrial history artefacts, and there are also paintings, coins, medals, firearms and archaeology, totalling over 40,000 objects.

Artefacts are stored in purpose-built stores at Motherwell and Summerlee
